Singapore Fire GlazingFire-rated insulated glass
Standards

Built to SCDF's rules.

SCDF is strict about fire glazing, and some regulations require insulation, not just integrity. We built our process around that.

The rules we work to

Strict rules. No shortcuts.

01

SCDF Fire Code

Every unit is made to meet SCDF's requirements for fire-rated glazing. SCDF is strict, and we treat its rules as the floor, not the ceiling.

02

Insulation where required

Some openings need more than integrity. Escape routes, compartment walls and doors near exits often need the protected side kept cool too. That is exactly what we make.

03

Independent testing

Testing through an accredited test centre (TÜV) is underway. We will not claim a rating we have not earned, and results will be published here first.

E vs EI

Holding flames is not enough.

EIntegrity

Holds back flames and smoke. The glass can still pass on the heat.

EIIntegrity + insulation

Holds back flames, smoke and heat. The protected side stays below about 201°C.

Singapore Fire Glazing is working to become the first locally made insulated glass to pass independent fire testing. We will publish the results here.
